A twenty-first century school of management preserved and expanded a 1870s historic building, saving an imperiled campus landmark. A dramatic, light-filled, skylit commons is transformed out of an old utilitarian service court and is the heart and soul of a vibrant business school community. In this sensitive historic setting, a new front is a modern abstraction of the original building's flamboyant Victorian Gothic architecture.
